Gov. Newsom meets with PG&E officials after threatening state takeover
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Gov. Gavin Newsom met with Pacific Gas and Electric officials, including the utility’s CEO Bill Johnson, on Tuesday morning, days after the governor threatened a possible takeover of the troubled utility blamed for sparking deadly wildfires across the state.
Newsom called all sides to a meeting, saying he would personally try to mediate a solution involving PG&E.
