Boxing fans will have to wait for Pac-Mayweather two

For Manny Pacquaio who turned forty on last month (December 17, 2018), he once again proved to his fans and to the boxing community that age is only a number. The fighting Senator squashed Adrian Broner in twelve rounds at MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas on January 19, 2019. The Destroyer said in an after the fight press conference, “that he was still active”. When he was asked by Inquirer.net correspondent, Elton Lugay, if he had a message for Floyd Mayweather he said, “get back to the ring and we’ll fight, if he wants.”

Team Pacquiao lead trainer Buboy Fernandez once said at a press conference in New York City that Broner was ninety-five percent a runner like Floyd Mayweather. Boxing fans saw the fury that ‘Pac Man’ unleashed against ‘The Problem Lil Broner’. For this fight, Pacquaio’s former trainer Freddie Roach from Wild Card Boxing gym joined in to assist Mr. Fernandez.

All twelve rounds, Broner had trouble against Pacquaio. He was hugging, clinging, and at one point holding onto Manny’s leg until the referee called them apart. Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Jr., both in attendance witnessed the power and fury of the old Manny Pacquaio. Boxing fans will have to wait and see if The Money Team will accept a re-match sometime this year.
