Michael Cohen, Trump’s ex-lawyer, sentenced to 3 years

NEW YORK, New York – President Donald J. Trump former lawyer, Michael Cohen, said he takes “full responsibility” for the actions that he was previously guilty to during his court appearance in a New York federal court on Wednesday. Cohen appeared before a courtroom again today relating to the special counsel Robert Muller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 elections.

Cohen’s attorney, Guy Petrillo, offered a sweeping case for leniency, as he shared the cooperation details Cohen has provided the special counsel.  “I take full responsibility for each act that I pled guilty to The personal ones to me and those involving the President of the United States of America,” Cohen said. “This may seem hard to believe, but today is one of the most meaningful days of my life,” Cohen added. “I have been living in personal and mental incarceration ever since the day I accepted the offer to work for a real estate mogul whose business acumen that I deeply admired.”

Michael Cohen has been sentenced to three years in prison.
